About this Queensland Room in Kentlyn, Campbelltown

This client in Kentlyn was tossing up with the idea of moving home or extending their existing house to maximise usable space and add value. When the client approached us, they were excited to learn that a Queensland Room or Sunroom extension costs significantly less than a traditional bricks and mortar construction. Suffice to say, they decided to extend their home instead of moving out.

This Queensland Room project presented some challenges, being in a bushfire zone with a high BAL rating (bushfire attack level). However, we were able to use specially engineered sunroom products that comply with bushfire zone regulations.

The insulated roof panels keep the harsh Campbelltown heat out in the summer and trap the heat in the cold winters. We added downlights, powerpoints and air conditioning, as well as floorboards, a new concrete slab and sliding windows with insect screens. We also extended the insulated roof past the enclosed area to become an outdoor pergola for the client’s BBQ.

Kentlyn is suburb with a secluded country feel within the Campbelltown and Macarthur regions, closely adjacent to Minto Heights, Bradbury, Ruse, Ambarvale, St Helens Park and Glen Alpine
